We wholeheartedly support the training of midwives through the ancient tradition of apprenticeship. Students would be encouraged to take part in the full scope of our practice, including classes, prenatal visits, births, hospital transfer labor support and postpartum care.

Requirements:
• Current enrollment in a MEAC accredited midwifery program
• Current certification in CPR & Neonatal Resuscitation
• At least 1 year of assisting/attending out-of-hospital births
• Ability to commit to at least 1 year of apprenticeship
• Strong theoretical framework established (based on modules completed)
• Open, accepting and nonjudgmental in regards to lifestyle and reproductive choices
* We do not charge a preceptor fee
* We are unable to offer room & board, transportation and childcare reimbursment
